ZENBEXUS is the first-ever CELMoD, a new class* of treatment that helps boost your immune system's ability to fight multiple myeloma. 

ZENBEXUS is used in combination with the medicines daratumumab and hyaluronidase-fihj (injection) and dexamethasone (pill) to treat adults with multiple myeloma who have received at least 1 prior medicine, including a proteasome inhibitor and an immunomodulatory medicine.

ZENBEXUS is used in combination with the medicines daratumumab and hyaluronidase-fihj (injection) and dexamethasone (pill) to treat adults with multiple myeloma who have received at least 1 prior medicine, including a proteasome inhibitor and an immunomodulatory medicine.

The conditional approval of ZENBEXUS is based on MRD negativity (or no detectable cancer cells). There are ongoing studies to see how well ZENBEXUS works.

ZENBEXUS is a once-daily pill that’s taken as part of your myeloma care plan along with dexamethasone (a pill) and daratumumab and hyaluronidase-fihj (an injection given by your doctor).

ZENBEXUS is taken 3 weeks on, 1 week off each 28-day cycle as prescribed. Your doctor may tell you to take ZENBEXUS once every other day if you take certain medicines, or if you have kidney problems and experience side effects.

• ZENBEXUS may be taken with or without food
• Take ZENBEXUS at about the same time each day
• Swallow ZENBEXUS capsules whole with water 1 time a day. Do not open, break, or chew your capsules 
• Do not remove the capsule until just prior to dosing. Do not open the ZENBEXUS capsules or handle them any more than needed. If you touch a broken ZENBEXUS capsule or the medicine in the capsule, wash the area of your body right away with soap and water 
• If you miss a dose of ZENBEXUS and it has been less than 12 hours since your regular time, take it as soon as you remember. If it has been more than 12 hours, just skip your missed dose. Do not take 2 doses at the same time 
• If you take too much ZENBEXUS, call your healthcare provider right away

You may receive your prescription from a specialty pharmacy, in which case your specialty pharmacy will call you each month to arrange delivery directly to your home. Be sure to save their phone number in your contacts.

ZENBEXUS can cause serious side effects,* including:

• Severe low white blood cell counts (neutropenia)
• Infections 
• New cancers (secondary cancers)

*Serious side effects in ≥2% of people included in the study.

The most common side effects of ZENBEXUS are:

• Decreased white blood cell counts (neutropenia) 
• Decreased white blood cells (leukopenia) and lymphocytes (lymphopenia) 
• Decreased platelets (thrombocytopenia) 
• Decreased hemoglobin (anemia) 
• Upper respiratory infections 
• Tiredness 
• Muscle and joint pain 
• Pneumonia 
• Diarrhea 
• Trouble controlling your body movements (motor dysfunction) 
• Rash 
• Sleep problems such as insomnia, restless leg syndrome 
• Abnormally low levels of antibodies (hypogammaglobulinemia) 
• COVID-19 
• Constipation

Multiple myeloma is the second-most common blood cancer in the U.S. It develops in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell, found in the bone marrow. Bone marrow is the soft tissue inside your bones.

In multiple myeloma, these plasma cells start to grow out of control and become cancerous. They are known as myeloma cells and may form in multiple locations throughout the body.

A remission is when the signs and symptoms of cancer have reduced or disappeared after treatment. It’s important to know that this is not the same as a cure.

A relapse is the return of a disease or the signs and symptoms of a disease after a period of improvement.

Refractory multiple myeloma means the cancer isn’t responding to treatment.

First-line treatment is the initial therapy—or combination of therapies—a doctor prescribes to treat disease. If the cancer returns after initial or first-line therapy (relapsed) or the treatment has not worked or stopped working (refractory), a doctor may prescribe a new therapy or combination of therapies. This is known as second-line treatment.

ZENBEXUS can be used as early as your first relapse.

Minimal residual disease (MRD) is measured to see if a very small amount of myeloma can be found after achieving complete response or better with treatment (when all signs of cancer have disappeared). 

If you are MRD negative, it means that out of every 100,000 cells doctors checked, not one was found to be myeloma.

Even if you have a complete response (CR) and are MRD negative it's not the same as being cured. There is a chance myeloma can still come back.
